Vehicle

After a small amount of searching we opted for a Land Rover Discovery 300 TDi, 1997 from Paul at Footloose http://www.footloose4x4.com

The car has been fully prepped  and lovingly ‘tinkered’ with,  with  every little detail considered for making an overland journey as easy and comfortable as possible.

Our new home for 9 months has an eezi-awn roof tent, dual battery system, long range fuel tank, steel bumpers and winch system, water pump and filtration system, a fridge, roll cage and a whole heap of spares.

    Hi
very nice car indeed … 🙂
I have just a question …. Did you take out the catalyt converter, I heard there is too much sulfur in the Diesel in Africa and can cause problems …. Heard anything about that ?
We will follow you next with a Mitsubishi L300 2.5 TD 🙂

    Thanks and Happy trails
    Thomas & Andrea

    • Hello
Glad you like her, she is doing us proud.
There is definitely no Cat on our Disco, and I’m sure it never had one, it’s and old & basic diesel engine.
Regarding more modern Diesel engines and African fuel, call Bob at Footloose 4×4, he’ll tell you what you need to know.
      Happy new year
      Ben
